All Quests & Activities

Complete quest list for The Blood of Dawnwalker: main story route, all Court activities for Ambrus, Bakir and Xanthe, and every side quest by region.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world RPG with a freely explorable valley — after the prologue, no quest order is forced on you. The main story has one goal: complete Court activities to anger the three vampiric vassals Ambrus, Bakir and Xanthe until each challenges you to a duel, then defeat all three to draw out Knyaz Brencis himself — the vampire holding your family — within 30 days. Everything else is side content you can weave in as you like.

This page lists every quest and Court activity in the game, organized by story step and region. For step-by-step prologue solutions and dialogue choices, see the walkthrough.

The Main Story Route

StepContentLevel
1Prologue in Laslea Glen (timed, missable)1+
2Court activities — anger Ambrus, Bakir and XantheAny order
3Defeat Ambrus1+
4Defeat Bakir20+
5Defeat Xanthe25+
6Final quest: A Deal with the Devil — all endings30 days limit

A few things worth knowing about the structure:

  • The recommended boss order is Ambrus → Bakir → Xanthe, simply because of their level ranges.
  • Quests stay available until you start them. Once started, some objectives are time-sensitive — the journal marks them with an hourglass icon (timed), sun icon (day only) or moon icon (night only).
  • Focusing purely on the Court activities finishes the story in roughly 7–10 days, leaving 20+ days for side content. Time is a currency, not a countdown.
  • Never kill non-hostile NPCs or quest givers — several lock you out of content. Keep manual saves in different slots (the game supports 54); one after defeating all three bosses lets you set up every ending from a single save.

Prologue Quests (Laslea Glen)

All prologue quests are timed and missable — they vanish once you leave for the Blood Mass. The Withering Away medicine (hot water, three spoonfuls of herbs) must reach your mother Esme in time or she dies.

TypeQuests
MainAll Good Things · Withering Away (+ Page-Turner) · Like Father, Like Son · Sacred Covenant · Bad Blood · Smoke and Ashes
SideLive Bait · Someone Needs a Lesson · Dead Drop · Disturbed · Deep Down · Enter Not · Blasphemy · On the Run · If a Tree Falls in a Forest… · Bandit's Treasure Map: Laslea Glen

Full objectives, rewards and the best choices for each are covered in the walkthrough.

How Court Activities Work

After the prologue you unlock the Court menu. Each vassal has an Anger meter that rises as you sabotage his or her operations — destroying blood transports, leech camps, distilleries and so on. At maximum Anger, the vassal's duel quest unlocks. The game never tells you where these activities are, so use the tables below — or scout the 11 towers first to mark them as white question marks on your map.

Court activities are short: clear a group of enemies, destroy a few containers, done. Most cost 3 time segments, blood cellars only 1. Buy Shapeshift (Vampirism) and Mercurial Fervour (Witchcraft) early for fast travel, and remember you hit harder at night with your claws — plus Shadowstep lets you scale walls and rooftops.

Choose the peaceful dialogue options.

Home Sweet Home hides in the Silts Tower at the south-west edge of the map. Enter at the ground floor, climb to the top and interact with the door — a flashback of the prologue follows, ending in a Gargoyle boss fight. Playing the level four times in a row traps you in the dream for the highly missable Together Forever achievement and a secret ending. To escape normally, inspect the well at the second enemy group in Focus Mode, follow the cave, help the priest remember (interact with Alin → Esme → Coen), then clawride down to the river. The enemy that ambushes you afterward drops the legendary Astrologer's Ring.

Xanthe main quest: The Cycle of Love.

After the Three Bosses: the Ending

With all three vassals defeated you reach maximum Infamy. Skip time to the next day for the Infamy Edicts cutscene, and Brencis sends word that he wants to parley — the final quest A Deal with the Devil appears in your journal. Make a manual save here and never overwrite it: from this point you can set up every ending, and after watching one you reload to see the rest. The game returns you to the title screen after each ending — there is no free roam afterward, so keep that save for any cleanup. All endings are covered on the endings page.
