Anca Romance Guide

The Blood of Dawnwalker has one romance route, and it belongs to Anca, the village herbalist you meet in the prologue. Unlocking it is not a single decision but a string of flirting choices spread across her whole questline — and you don't need to land every one. Most of them, plus the right final scene, is enough.

The One Rule

You can miss a choice here and there and still get the scene. The game only asks for most of the flirting options, not all of them. The one worth knowing about early is the very first, in the prologue.

Prologue — Page-Turner

During Withering Away, a storm breaks while you're getting Esme's medicine from Anca. She invites you to stay and practise Latin — that starts the optional quest Page-Turner.

Its flirting option is:

• "How about this book with the red cover?"

Skip it. Staying costs an extra time segment, and getting back to Esme with her medicine matters more — if she dies, you lose one of the seven endings. The romance still unlocks without this choice.

The Questline

Anca's route runs through St. Tyna's Grove:

Echoes of Silenced Bells → Between the Words → Where Old Devils Lie → Stronger Than Achilles

Each quest holds one or more romance-relevant choices.

Between the Words

• When you brew Anca her tea, choose "It's my pleasure."
• After reading the book, choose "Always.", then "What do you mean?", leading to "Your feelings towards me. They're more than just faith, aren't they?" — an early confession.

Where Old Devils Lie

Wait a day for this quest to appear.

• At the start, take the white dialogue option: "Thank you for trying to help me." Her reply is the second confirmation that Anca likes you.
• After searching for the map: "Who knows what else I have in store for you."
• At the mountain pool, take the white option: "Something troubling you?", then "I care about you, you know."

Stronger Than Achilles

The final quest.

• At the statue, put your own hand in rather than Anca's — it earns you "Better me than you."
• When Anca reveals her desire for the fount, choose "I'd do anything for you", then tell her "I love you." This moment is referenced at the end.

You can romance Anca regardless of what you decide about the fount, but her best outcome is to let her use it.

Unlocking the Scene

After Stronger Than Achilles, back at the inn, you get to talk about the "I love you" from the ruins:

• Choose "I beg to differ", then "Screw decency, I want you too."

That triggers Coen and Anca's romance cutscene.
